Nowadays our city (Liberec) and particularly wide architectonical community and many others lose one of the almost-architectonical monument - Department Store Ještěd.

It was build in years 1970 - 1979 and mainly designed by Karel Hubáček (the owner of the famous Perret Prize for the Building of the Century - 1969) and Miroslav Masák.

With almost 8000 sq/m in its era, it was one of the biggest complexes in our country. The developers who are willing to build another shopping centre in the place of Ještěd and Liberec City hall, they aren´t willing to open debate about that.

It´s evident, that there goes about the money. What a pity.

It´s a terrible loss for those, who live in Liberec and got used on that building. Especially when they´ve been living there for many years.

I know,
many people say that - that we are better to stop our doings, our rushing for something we pursue every day and even dont know, what is it. I think you have heard it before.

Now, without any intention my own intention I´ve put this in practice.
As I sometimes walk (better than to go by bus) and watch the surroundings of me, I sometimes stay astonished about what I see.

Hello there.
Last weekend I had to do a loads of things, many problems to solve so I really looked out for something different than watching PC and making graphics...

The weekend I spent mainly with my future wife, tiding up our brand new flat, having fun and doing other things. The Sunday we went to the meeting and after it we had good time likewise - relaxing, talking, having a great lunch. It was nice..

Now, I feel ready to face the next week and things which may take place (I know about to happen).
Do not underestimate the relaxing power of holiday! It´s a precious gift to men.
